OKI international school Kiribathgoda was established on 3rd September 2003 with
only 21 students and 4 Teachers. After 9 years of operation, the student
strength has now increased to 529 with a teaching staff of 34. It signifies
almost a twenty-five fold increase.
OKI International School adopts a policy to add one grade to the top end of the
study stream annually so that after few years from now the School will be a
fully fledged School covering the span Pre-grade to Advanced Level.
Currently Mr Tilak Rodrigo is the Principal of the Branch assisted by a
Headmistress which position is presently held by Ms Kshanika Peiris |

Academic Stream |
Currently the school has classes up to Grade 8. At Grade 8, option is given to
choose between ‘Cambridge University and National Syllabus… In both pathways
National Curriculum and the Cambridge Curriculum students are given the option
to follow Science or Commerce streams.
This branch currently grant scholarships for Grade 5 and 7 students through a
test conducted across all branches. English is the medium of studies, but the
Sinhalese and French Languages are taught from Primary School. Tutorial staff
are mostly graduates or trained teachers with teaching experience. This branch
is equipped with a Laboratory and a well organised Library.

Co-Curricular |
Following suit the co-curricular activities at the main school, Kiribathgoda
branch too annually hold the Science society, Language day, speech and drama
contests. This year the language day was held at KCP Hall Kadawatha, for which
the chief guest was Mr.
All religions namely Roman Catholicism, Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism, Christian
children conduct religious ceremonies three days a week and holds General
Assembly on two days a week

Extra Curricular–Non Sports |

Sports |
Currently OKI engages in the sporting activities, including Badminton / Swimming
/ Karate / Athletics / Cricket. Eminent coaches guide the children and many
children have excelled in their respective sporting activities. Three Athletes
secured 2nd & 3rd places at the circuit meet this year from a contingent of 10
Athletes from the branch, of the Inter- International Athletic Championship. Out
of the three students took part in the Zonal meet H. Sudusinhe was selected to
participate for the Western Province meet. At the latest International School
swimming championship, two students from the branch maintained competitive
timings in their respective events warranting extensive training, to reach
greater heights. L.A Lahiru and Navodh Lakhan emerged to obtain a ranking in
their respective events at Sri Lankan School Aquatic Sports Association
